Dear Parents,

It is often said that we learn 10% of what we read, 20% of what we hear, 30% of what we see, 50% of what we both see and hear, 70% of what we discuss with others, 80% of what we experience personally, and 95% of what we teach. School is a vibrant place where all these dynamic forms of learning happen simultaneously.

To Mother Seraphina, our foundress, school is a sanctuary where each child must be cared for, loved, understood, nurtured, and guided in order to draw out their full potential. She strongly felt that the relationship between the teacher and the taught should mirror that of a mother and child. Every child has a unique goal to reach, and fulfilling this requires the shared commitment, guidance, and care of both the principal and the staff.

According to Mother Seraphina, the primary duty of an educator is to study the unique character and capacity of each child, directing them onto the path of truth and goodness. She emphasized:

At St. Vincent’s Girls Higher Secondary School, the management aims for these exact ideals. We firmly believe that while basic literacy can liberate an individual from economic bondage, an integrated education liberates a human being from all forms of slavery.
